The type of research project that ResearchSpace might encounter will vary widely. Projects that have a single focus may require a single collaborative group. However, other projects may be made up of many different groups and experts studying different aspects of a particular subject. These projects may be producing different research outputs in processes that are independant from one another. This is particularly true for archeoplogical projects.
In this case a site may have some umbrella organisations but different groups will be studying different aspects of the site. Although all groups need access to the same data, the comments and annotations that they make may not be shared with other groups. So.
* Any one group or sub project may keep generated information like an annotation secure to their team or release it to one or more of the other groups.
* Each project may have different published outputs.
* Each project may release some information to other groups during the research process.
