Some Background and Brief Course Description
Semantic Technologies Introduction is a free 2-hour course that offers a thorough grounding in semantic technologies, covering:
- Introduction to semantic technologies
- Knowledge representation and standards (RDF, RDF schema, OWL)
- Querying RDF data - SPARQL
- Managing RDF data - SPARQL Update and named graphs
- Linked Data principles
This introductory course is offered in conjunction with the European Commission-funded EUCLID project, which aims to develop a standardised training curriculum and training materials for Linked Data and Semantic Technologies.
