01 Add Image record to Data Basket (in case there is no such bookmark)

Description
The user chooses the option "Add to Data Basket" from Image details tab, inputs all necessary data in creation form and successfully saves the new bookmark in the Data Basket .

Preconditions & Constraints
The user is logged in the Nuxeo DM system. The migration of museum objects and images is completed. A digital image of an object to be bookmarked is successfully found and selected for review. The Image details page is opened for review in medium size and all metadata are listed. There is no such bookmark to the current image record.

  • Title - the link (title) of the original item. The item's title is used as a default value and copied to the bookmark title, so that the user can edit the bookmark title
  • Notes - user notes to the data basket item (the field is empty with the creation of the bookmark, free text could be inserted by the user)
  • Tags – no tags are preexistent; to add a tag see Test 04 Tags#01, Test 04 Tags#02, Test 04 Tags#03
 All necessary data is provided as input.  
3.1 Click on the Save button. The new bookmark is successfully saved into the data basket, the counter for the Data Basket Items on the screen is refreshed and is counted "n +1", the system shows the same screen from which the user invoked the action "Add to DataBasket".  
3.2 Press Cancel Button. The pop-up is closed, a new bookmark is not created into the Data Basket, the counter for the Data Basket Items on the screen is not changed, the system shows the same screen from which the user invoked the action "Add to DataBasket".  

Post conditions
The system displays the Image details page, a new bookmark is successfully added into the data basket, the counter for the Data Basket Items on the screen is increased by a number.

02 Add Image record to Data Basket (in case there is such bookmark)

Description
The user chooses the option "Add to Data Basket" from the Image details tab, updates some data in the details form and successfully saves the changes in the Data Basket.

03 Add Image annotation to Data Basket (in case there is no such bookmark)

Description
The user chooses the option "Add to Data Basket" from Image annotation section, inputs all necessary data in creation form and successfully saves the new bookmark in the Data Basket .

An object record is successfully found and selected for review - from a Data Annotation (in Tools tab), Forum, just browsing object records, etc. Annotations tab is opened and the annotations page is displayed for review.There is no such bookmark to the current object record.

The user is logged in the Nuxeo DM system. The migration of museum objects and images is completed. An object record is successfully found and selected for review - from a Data Annotation (in Tools tab), Forum, just browsing object records, etc. Annotations tab is opened and the annotations page is displayed for review.There is no such bookmark to the current data field.

Description
The user chooses the option "Add to Data Basket", located next to Data object in search results list, inputs all necessary data in creation form and successfully saves new bookmark in the Data Basket.

Preconditions & Constraints
The user is logged in the Nuxeo DM system. The migration of museum objects and images is completed. A semantic search (with one or several values entered per criteria ) had been performed and all object records, which correspond to the search are displayed in search results page.Or search results are loaded from previously performed and saved Search, using the bottom of the search history list (Tools menu/Search/"XXXXXXX"). The searches are performed taking into consideration the semantic repository with data objects. There is no such bookmark to the current data object, which the user wants to bookmark.

Preconditions & Constraints
The user is logged in the Nuxeo DM system. The migration of museum objects and images is completed. There are previously performed and saved search record in the search history list (Tools menu/Search).Search sentence is loaded, using the bottom of the search history list (Tools menu/Search/"XXXXXXX"), and all object records, which correspond to the search criteria entered are found, combined and displayed The searches are performed taking into consideration the semantic repository with data objects. There is or no such bookmark to the current search record (search sentence), which the user wants to bookmark.

14 Add Web Link to Data Basket (in case there is or no such bookmark)

Description
The user chooses the option "Add Web link" from Data Basket details screen, inputs all necessary data in creation form and successfully saves new bookmark in the Data Basket.

Preconditions & Constraints
The user is logged in the Nuxeo DM system. The migration of museum objects and images is completed. The user's personal Data Basket is opened and there are some existing items in it - image, object, data field, annotation, search record, etc., which are presented as links or text.There is or no such bookmark to the current web link.

Some web site is opened into another tab in browser (FF/Chrome) (e.g. http://edition.cnn.com/, http://www.britishmuseum.org/, http://www.nhm.ac.uk/, etc.).There is a button JS "Bookmark Web Link to RS" in the browser bookmarks bar.There is or no such bookmark to the current web link.

The user's personal Data Basket is opened and there are some existing items in it - image, object, data field, annotation, search record, etc., which are presented as links or text.Text could be pasted to Data Basket, after being copied from any source (forum/ discussion/ comment/ Nuxeo documents/ external documents/ object records, etc.) or could be entered into the Notes field manually by user.

    I have had a go testing the Databasket which looks good and was not terribly slow. I have not gone through all the user tests yet but there some bugs which you probably know already. These are the ones I noticed so far:

    1. When saving the addition to the Databasket, the only "save" button which works is the one at the bottom of the screen - not the one at the top of the screen. I think the one at the top of the screen simply cancels the entry

    2. When testing cases for adding something to the databasket when there is already a bookmark to the same object/image/data/annotation, the "This item already exists in your databasket" message never comes up and instead when I click on save the previous notes are over-written

    3. After new data is added to the Databasket the number of bookmarks increases but i have to refresh the screen to see new bookmarks in the databasket.

    I think there is a bug with all real images (not thumbnails) in the new update - I cannot find any images in image annotation - and/or past images.

    When I search for a painting, and then click on related images I see only thumbnails - when I click on any of the thumbnails for annotation, or search for past annotations I get the message "Missing file: N-4930-00-000075-PYR.jpg"

    I have tested the DB and found that many things worked well- in general the BM data took longer to load, but this is perhaps normal.

    One question I have which may be stupid: For each object we have three tabs - Object Details, Annotations and Relations. The question is : Why are all the Object-data found only under "Annotations" and not in Object details? Is this a bug? Or something which will be fixed later?

    In some cases I was not able to add annotations to BM data (for Example the record on Shakespeare), while on other BM data I could annotate and use the DB functions easily.

    I tried to add the entire results of a Search (TSC13) to the DB. The search is saved to the DB as indicated. However, if I can add the same search again to the DB without overwriting the first search - no message pops up here to inicate that "This entry already exists in your databasket".

    Suggestions for improvements: the "save" button should probably be at the top of the pop-up when adding entries to the DB.

    Also, when DB entries are edited the "date added field " is not updated - perhaps this should be updated if the DB entries (notes) are edited?

    Thanks for your feedback!

    1) The Object Details, Annotations and Relations tabs - implementing these slipped between iterations. At first, BVA were supposed to create design, then Dominic was going to provide requirements and some sketches. We postponed them for a couple of iterations and each time there was something more important to do. Object Details tab was meant to hold summary information - thumbnail, 5-10 data fields, number of annotations, latest annotations etc. I will ask Dominic whether we can do that in the last iteration (3.6) Relations tab currently contains only related images, if any.

    2) "In some cases I was not able to add annotations to BM data (for Example the record on Shakespeare)" - adding annotation is sometimes slow. Actually I am able to see you annotations for this record so they were added but GUI might have been not responsive enough.

    3) "However, if I can add the same search again to the DB without overwriting the first search" - this behaviour was agreed upon during spec discussions

    4) The save button - there were 2 save buttons with same behaviour in the BVA design - one up and one down. After talking to Dominic, we removed the upper one. This could be easily changed if needed.

    5) The "date added field" - as you have written, its current semantics is "added". We can implement is as "updated" if needed.

    Dominic rightly pointed out this bug to me:

    When you put a data annotation in the data basket then close the data annotation tab and then go to the data basket and click on the link for the annotation  the data annotation screen does load properly.

    If I do not close the data annotation tab, the link seems to load properly.
