01 Initial State

Description

Preconditions & Constraints
none

N Performed action Expected result Tester notes
1 user logs in Nuxeo
  • Dashboard tab is displayed and is static (there is no way of closing it)
  • The Dashboard tab displays 3 regions:
    • Team Project Activity (previously History)
    • Latest Forum Posts
    • Project Announcements & Messages
  • The 3 regions are in expanded state - the header of each region and its content are both visible
AN:OK

Post conditions
Dashboard tab is visible; the 3 regions are in their expanded initial state

02 Collapse-Expand Region

Description
The region is in its expanded/collapsed state and the action button Expand/Collapse is clicked

Preconditions & Constraints
The Dashboard regions are in their expanded/collapsed state.

N Performed action Expected result Tester notes
1.1 The region is in its expanded state. Click on the Expand/Collapse action button in the header of region:
  • Team Project Activity
  • Latest Forum Posts
  • Project Announcements & Messages
The corresponding region collapses AN:OK, I take "History " to mean "Team Project Activity"
1.2 The region is in its collapsed state. Click on the Expand/Collapse action button in the header of region:

03 Create Annotation item in Team Project Activity

Description
Create a new Data/Image annotation item into the Team Project Activity list

Preconditions & Constraints
Create a new Data/Image annotation, see Test 06 Data Annotation#05; Test 07 Image Annotation#05

N Performed action Expected result Tester notes
1 go to the Dashboard tab
  • Team Project Activity region displays the created Data/Image annotation item at the top of the annotations list
  • The item has the following details:
    • "Tool" shows "Data Annotation" or "Image annotation" correspondingly
    • "Item" shows the correct title of the annotated object
    • "Link" shows the title of the annotation and the title text is clickable
    • "User" shows the user that created the annotation
  • The item is grouped into the correct date section (i.e. the creation date is correct)
Data Annotation created successfully for obect RRM17208 and Rembrandt painting, but the annotation does not appear in the Tools>Data Annotation history.  Instead the Data annotation is seen under the Dashboard>Team Project Activity correctly
Image Annotation created succesfully and updated in Tools>Image Annotation history and Dashboard>Team Project Activity correctly.
Currently the "creation date" is set to Bulgaria (rather than User location?)
Date is slightly confusing - as clicking "yesterday" also shows today's data - maybe there should also be a "Today" on the tab -and clicking "yesterday" would indicate only the activity yesterday? while "last 7 days" would indicate this week including today and yesterday, etc? Otherwise, instead of Yesterday it would be more logical to indicate "24 hours/1 day"?

07 Filtering

Description
Apply filtering by author, by period, and both

Preconditions & Constraints
Team Project Activity and Project Announcements & Messages regions have lists of items that are at least 3 months old and earlier dated, fall into different date sections, and are created by different users. No filtering "by author" or "by period" is applied. The filtering by author is controlled by the combo at the header of the region and the filtering by period is controlled by "Show Project Activity from: yesterday – 7 days – 30 days – 3 moths" located just bellow the header.

N Performed action Expected result Tester notes
1.1 Observe the Team Project Activity region
  • The filter combo located in the Team Project Activity header has an initial state "All Team Members" – annotations by all users are listed and are grouped by date in the date sections
  • The default state of the filter "by period" is "from yesterday" – only the annotations since yesterday are visible in the Team Project Activity list
AN:OK
1.2 Observe the Project Announcements & Messages region
  • The filter combo located in the Project Announcements & Messages header has an initial state "All Team Members" – messages by all users are listed and are grouped by date in the date sections
  • The default state of the filter "by period" is "from yesterday" – only the messages since yesterday are visible in the Project Announcements & Messages list
AN:OK
2.1 Select a particular user from the combo in the header of Team Project Activity
  • Only the annotations from that user are visible in the list
  • Data remains grouped by date in date sections
AN: At the moment we have only 2 members - is there a limit to the number of team members - would it be possible to select 2 of the three members?
Also, even though today I added new forum pages, I cannot filter the forum for message by me (i.e. my name is not visible in the drop down panel on the forum filter.)

RS-1710
RS-1667
2.2 Select a particular user from the combo in the header of Project Announcements & Messages
  • Only the message from this user are visible in the list
  • Data remains grouped by date in the date sections
AN:see above

  • List shows items only by that user and are at most 7 days old
  • Data remains grouped by date in date sections
AN:OK

  • yesterday
  • 30 days
  • 3 months
Both filters are active:
  • List shows items only by that user and are at most yesterday/30 days/ 3 months old
  • Data remains grouped by date in date sections
AN:OK

  • 30 days
  • 3 months
Both filters are active:
  • List shows items only by that user and are at most yesterday/30 days/ 3 months old
  • Data remains grouped by date in date sections
AN:OK
5 Try different filter combinations in Team Project Activity or Project Announcements & Messages No empty date section appears AN:OK - I think this works but am not sure as we have only 2 users. If a user does not make announcments does this mean that his name is not added to the filter list?
RS-1710

Post conditions
Filters by author/period filter the list while preserving the chronology of the data

Description
An author (user) creates a message in the Project Announcements & Messages list that is filtered by author.

Filtering on the forum posts does not work for "All Team Members" - If I select "All team members" I do not see my post. I see my posts only if I select "Austin" from the forum filter

RS-1653

Ivan: I should not have been so specific in Expected result - the point is that "more" should be marked as a link for the user to distinguish
2 Consecutively create 9 more forum posts. Observe the Latest forum posts region in the Dashboard with each added post. Each post is sequentially shown in the Latest forum post list until the list contains 10 entries ordered chronologically – latest at the top OK
