1. Log in

Log in with user: user1, pass: 159357.

2. Nuxeo DM Home Page

The user default dashboard is used to generate the user's dashboard the first time the user logs in, and when the user clicks on the "Restore default" button on his dashboard. Nuxeo DM includes a dashboard that is proposed as the default user dashboard. S/he can edit this default user dashboard to make it adapted to his organization and users. Editing the default user dashboard works the same way users can edit their dashboard. S/he can:

Basic and most frequently used gadgets:

My Tasks – Lists the tasks assigned to user

My Workspaces - List users workspaces for a given scope

My Documents – List of published by user documents

My Deleted Documents - List deleted documents for which the user has been a contributor

Last Published Documents - Lists the last published documents

Last Modified Documents - Lists the last modified documents

Quick Search - Performs a full-text search on the repository

3. Select workspace to work

From Home page, the user can navigate between the two workspaces through the Personal Dashboard/My Workspaces. The user selects to work with Rembrandt RS and enters the workspace of the project.

4. Create new folder

In there, various Collaborative Spaces are precreated – forum, blog, site, documentation uploaded regarding the current project, etc. The user can add content in each and every section or create new ones. For example, s/he can create a new folder of the type Pictures book, using the New button in Default domainWorkspacesRembrandt RSImages .

The user fills in the requested information and presses Create (there is also an option to cancel the creation of the folder).

5. Import file

When a new pictures book  “Additional images” is created, opens up automatically, where a few pictures are uploaded via the “Import File” option. The document is selected from the computer content and the Upload button is pressed.

Using the same methodology, an Additional images_”_ is created, by creating a new Documents folder, Forum and Site via the New button.

After several documents are uploaded in the space, they can be edited, commented on, referred, have their history reviewed, etc.

6. Create Discusion

The same can be performed in the main Rembrandt RS project. For example, create a discussion in the forum of the main project, searching for the opinion of the project participants, regarding a particular document from the personal workspace. The way to do this is the following: Select the “Forums” from the left navigation panel of the Rembrandt RS project. Choose the New Topic option .

In the form that opens up, enter the topic of the discussion. Fill in all necessary fields, choose the users and/or groups, which are to be included in the discussion and press the Create button .

 Subsequently, the data of the discussion can be edited.

7. Create relations

The discussion is now opened and comments can be entered, documents attached, etc. Open a random document   WorkspacesRembrandt RS2. ImagesAdditional imagesRembrandt_Herman_Doomer.jpg  in Rembrandt RS  and navigate to tab Relation. Select the option to create a new relation.

Fill in the necessary data, refer to the one of created discussion and save. Use the same way to create an incoming relation to the Rembrandt_Herman_Doomer.jpg document from the Document Rembrandt+Database+2-23-09.pdf, which was previously created in the > 3. Documents > Project Management1. Start-up DocumentationRembrandt+Database+2-23-09.pdf .

8. Quick search

Once a few documents with common relations are created, the Nuxeo DM quick search can be used.

Type in the keyword or phrase (i.e. Rembrandt) and the screen shows many results – documents, discussions, folders containing the keyword and other in or outside the Rembrandt RS project.

9. Faceted Search

In case of advanced search, then use the Faceted Search from the left navigation panel. For example, enter the same keyword “Rembrandt”, but in Path choose to search only in the Forums and start the search via the Go button. This way the screen will show only one result, namely the previously created discussion.

In case no criteria are entered into the Faceted Search, then the screen will show all existing documents in the    Rembrandt RS workspace, as the search is performed in all workspaces, correlated to the user in question.

10. View MO

Datasets for museum objects (MO) are migrated and pre-loaded to the screen - Default domain> Workspaces> Rembrandt RS> 1. Museum Objects

Choose one of MO, e.g. BadendeSusana. Navigate to the tab Edit, enter the museum object URI and save.

In the Summary tab you can see the RDF data for MO.

If you choose Relations tab, you can see outgoing relation links, which references to migrating images.

Choose one of them (eg. mh0147_back_nl_2002) and open it.
mh0147_back_nl_2002 is open in review mode. If you go to the Relations tab, you can see that there is an existing incoming relations, which is referenced by MO. Choose it and go back to the selected MO BadendeSusana.

The tab Alerts includes several ways to stay informed of the evolution of the documents. Notifications are emails automatically sent to users when an event occurs in a workspace.

There are five notifications:
• creation: the user gets an email when some content is created in the space;
• modification: the user receives an email every time the space or its content is edited;
• workflow changed: the user receives an email for each action that happens during a review (start, abandon, document approval, document rejection);
• Approval workflow started: the user receives an email every time an approval workflow is started;
• Comments moderation: the user receives an email when a comment is approved on a site.
When click on the Subscribe button corresponding to the notification you want to subscribe to. A green check mark is displayed in front of the notification you have subscribed to and an Unsubscribe button is displayed instead of the Subscribe button.

The History tab also displays the previous versions of the document that were archived when the document was edited and its version increased. All previous versions can be consulted. You can also filtered versions.

In the Manage tab of the MO you can set alerts for other users so they get automatically informed of the content evolution.
