Recommended minimal/Evaluation server configuration

HDD type regular
HDD space 10 GB
OS Linux (Kernel 2.6.18+) or Windows XP / Vista / 7; x86 or x64

Configuration All KIM components are deployed on a single server or KIM back-end is deployed on this configuration and the front-end (KIM-UI) - on another machine

Typical performance configuration

This configuration is required for large scale annotation and/or structured data indexing. These are the hardware resources needed for annotating and indexing millions of documents in a realistic schedule.

HDD space 200 GB (ZFS filesystem on OpenSolaris, ext4 on Linux)
